Up until now all the stories I've posted here have been prequel short stories under the rubric "Tales from the Pangalactic Empire." They take place in the universe of a novel that I'm working on publishing.

But I don't just write sci-fi. Recently I've been thinking hard about a thing or two, and I decided to try to communicate my thoughts in a different kind of short story. I hope people like it, and I hope they find the message universal. If so, I'd love if you shared it with friends, and posted your impressions in the comments to the story.  It's called The Man in the House on the Hill.

(Also, as a writer I'm always worried that something I wrote might be very similar to something already out there. In this story that's a particular concern. If that's the case, please let me know.)
