In media res

The trouble with starting a new blog is that there's so much back-story that has to be communicated, it's difficult to know where to start.  So I'll start here, and keep it brief:

A while back I wrote a novel.  I'm pretty proud of it.

Apparently, writing a novel and publishing a novel require completely different skill sets.

Way back when, I tried to get it published, but not very hard, and then I gave up and moved on to other things.  But it turns out, I just can't turn my back on that world.  The characters seem to have more stories in them.  I want to write more, about this world and others.  I've got stories inside of me that I want to share with as many people as possible.

But to do that, I first have to get published.  That's what this website is all about.  I'll be publishing a new story every week (knock wood), and sharing my story of the long road toward getting published.

I suspect that, over time, I'll start going in some random direction or other.  It should be an interesting journey, and I hope you enjoy it.
